This Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course provides a comprehensive understanding of the importance of nutrition in long-distance triathlon events. Participants will learn how to assess and design nutritional strategies to improve performance, recovery, and long-term adaptation for endurance athletes. The course integrates evidence-based knowledge with real-world applications and is tailored to meet the practical needs of coaches and high-performance amateurs/professionals.

This course offers a practice-focused insight into the key nutritional challenges and solutions related to long-distance triathlon. Participants will explore case studies, physiological markers, fueling strategies, hydration protocols, supplements, and the role of digital tools in personalising nutrition.

Javi Guerrero

Javi holds a degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, a degree in Food Science and Technology, and has studied various master's degrees in Nutrition and Sports Performance. He is currently pursuing his PhD at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Valencia, which will serve as a scientific foundation to develop the predictive intelligence of INDYA. Javi began his career as a sports nutritionist in 2011. After three years working in various gyms, he founded INDYA and set up his own sports nutrition center in Valencia with his partner and co-founder, Carlos Laserna. Javi has had the fortune of working with numerous clubs, federations, high-performance centers, top-level sports projects, and professional athletes such as Marc Márquez, Álex Márquez, Carlos Sainz, Aleix Espargaró, Álex Rins, professional football players, Olympic athletes, and many others. Javi likes to say that he is an athlete before being a nutritionist. He has competed in swimming, squash, and tennis, and has tried his hand at numerous sports. He is now passionate about cycling and any device that measures sports performance. Today, at 39 years old and as a family man, he leads INDYA with the ambition of turning it into a global sports brand that, through technology and nutrition, helps all athletes around the world improve their performance.
