Dear Athletes and Coaches,

As a leader to our 174 National Federations, world leading development Athletes and Coaches and hard-working Staff, World Triathlon will always have the health and safety of all members as its top priority.

As Covid-19 world pandemic has spread, we have seen the lives of our athletes and coaches turn upside down and we have watched in awe as each and every athlete has tried to continue to train.
Triathletes are tough, and we all know every World Triathlon triathlete and coach are ready to race anywhere, anytime and against anyone.  What we don’t ever want our athletes and coaches to do is struggle, through a lack of support in a situation which is challenging the entire planet.
It remains the top priority of each and every one of us in the World Triathlon Family to remain vigilant in our care of ourselves, our wellbeing and of each other.
The World Triathlon Development Coaching Team, in consultation with our World Triathlon Medical Team have put together a comprehensive document regarding the Covid-19 virus.

In order for you to remain up to date with the Covid-19, the World Triathlon Development team recommends you rely on your government body in your Country responsible for health combined with the information of the World Health Organisation (WHO link provided in the document)

On top of this advice, this document aims to provide comprehensive information at the time of writing on
1. Information on the virus, and the link to the World Health Organisation (WHO) we recommend you check daily to for updated information, as the situation is very fluid worldwide
2. Precautions you can take to remain vigilant in the fight against the spread of the virus and
3. Various training ideas while in home isolation

This time can raise anxieties and each and every one of us will cope with the uncertainties in what the future holds in different ways. While race schedules are disrupted the absolute priority must be on yourself and your family.  Following this email, there will be an opportunity to join a forum to discuss the email content with members of the World Triathlon Development team.

We can all be confident in the fact there will be an end to this time of uncertainty and we can all remain committed to the fact that is as soon as possible, the World Triathlon circuit will be up and running, and we will all return to our involvement in the world leading World Triathlon season.

Please remain vigilant, look after yourself and most of all be kind to yourself, because you are an important part of the World Triathlon family.
