We work on children's skills. Everyone advances at their own pace according to their possibilities

Are there any Activator level courses available to international participants that can be done online?

We are working on the online implementation of our courses at the moment. The webinars and non-curriculum courses do address this need by the way. (answered in the QA). Please stay tunned on our Education Hub to discover our next webinars and courses

For Laurent and Anna did you approach your respective Government Ministries to gain their "blessing" before approaching the schools? Was Government "buy-in" essential to get the programs up and running?

A1 (Laurent): We have an agreement with the Ministry of Education. This agreement is essential in order to then be able to decline our projects and 'enter' the school.

A2 (Anna): We align our programmes with our National Sports Policy which is agreed by the Irish government. We do not have to approach Ministers directly as long as we are developing and delivering programmes that meet the government policy on sport.
Also just to add if any NF's want to contact me directly I am more than happy to chat to them about how we developed our programme and share any ideas, you can pass on my contact details.

English: You don't necessarily need one bike for each kid: different games can be played with one bike every ¾ kids (for example relay).
Another option could be to find a Sponsor who can support you with the tools you need. In Italy, for example, Decathlon provides a certain number of bikes to every Region, so that they’re available for these kind of project.
Anyway it would be better to check (with teacher or principal) if the insurance covers also bike’s activity or if one should be subscribed.

What do you think about involving non-PE-teachers who are doing multi-sport or one sport needed?

As you could hear during our presentation, one of the first issue for French and Irish Federation has been the coaches training and education. First of all you should check, by the law, who is allowed to do any activity in the school. In some country you must involve a PE Teacher, in some other is enough a Certified (by NF) Coach, and these should be the appropriate path to follow.
It’s really important that who is working in the school has not only technical knowledges, but also teaching skills and ethical standard.
